First Lady Rosalind Williams

First Lady Rosalind Williams was born in Tulsa, OK and was raised in Sand Springs, OK. She was very active in church at a very early age, singing and participating in various events and activities all over the state of Oklahoma and surrounding states.

After high school, she attended and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Political Science, Pre-Law.  During that time, she also met, and married, her college sweetheart, Pastor J. Derrick Williams.

After college, First Lady and Pastor Williams traveled from city to city to determine the best place to make their home.  They finally rested in Tulsa as their final destination. Upon her return back to Tulsa, she immediately became active in her church and community.

She served under the direction of Rev. Ervin Ruth (Step-Father) assisting with his work as former President of the Christian Minister's Alliance, as Director of the Children's Choir, and as a liaison for the Young Adults in the Canaan District Association, where Pastor Ruth was Moderator. She served as an active member in the Oklahoma State Convention, National Baptist Congress, and National Baptist Convention. She also worked in the Canaan District Women's department and spoke for State and local WMU conferences, under the direction of the late  Sis. Calevia McQuarters.

Upon her arrival at Greater Cornerstone, she has served as Minister of Music, Choir Director (current), children's director, youth director, and young adult ladies director, just to name a few, and she continues to be active within the Women's Ministry. First Lady Williams has also served as Executive Director of the “Thunder on the West Side Conference,” held in conjunction with various churches across the city of Tulsa and surrounding areas. With God's grace, she  manages to balance home life and church life as ordained by God. She is the proud mother of three daughters, Desireé, Cori, and Emmary- and proud Mother-in-Law of Wilmon Brown III.

First Lady Williams is a woman who firmly believes in the Power of Prayer. She has a heart of service for people and is willing to work and assist in any capacity needed. First Lady Williams knows God has commissioned her to support and stand beside her husband, be a help meet, and help spread the Word of the Gospel to all generations.
