Minister, Anita J. Cantrell; M.Div., is a graduate of Oral Roberts University Graduate School of Theology and Missions, an ATS accredited seminary where she obtained the professional theological "Master of Divinity" graduate degree. Following her 2003 graduation she completed a professional post-graduate Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E.) program at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She has five years experience within the criminal justice system. She has pioneered territory as she became the first female Chaplain of the largest privatized jail in the Nation. She is a pastoral counselor and a professional certified mediator with special certification in Victim-Offender Mediation/Dialogue with Crimes of Severe Violence. She is the Founder of V.O.I.C.E.S. Victim Services for Survivors of Homicide Victims www.victimvoices.org and provides Victim Impact Training within the community and to organizations
In 2008, Minister Cantrell became a member of Greater Cornerstone Church and an integral part of the Ministerial staff. She continues pioneering territory as she serves as the first Christian Education Director, developing and implementing a structured program as the church moves forward with the philosophy of Greater Cornerstone Church being a “life-changing, life-giving, and life-preserving” community of believers. It is her firm belief that the platform of Christian Education is the Great Commission of Matthew 28:16-20. In its simplest and purest form, “Christian Education is making disciples through communicating God’s truths.
Minister Cantrell has brought her expertise to Greater Cornerstone Church, utilizing her gifts and talents to further the gospel mission and the Pastor’s vision. With the assistance of Pastor Willard Jones, she has developed the “MileStone” newsletter exclusively targeted as a tool to edify and communicate God’s truth to those incarcerated. While transcending beyond the walls of the church they are developing a Prison Ministry which includes equipping, and assisting teams to go behind the bars and touching the lives of the bruised and wounded. Working side-by-side Pastor Jones and the Prison Ministry Committee, they are developing G.R.A.C.E. the Cornerstone Community Prison Re-entry Program.
Minister Cantrell is a single mother of four adult sons: James, Joseph, Jeffrey & Jordan. She is also "Nana" to seven beautiful grandchildren: Josiah, Mark, Ava & Blaine (James & Keegan's children) and Grace, Natalie & Teage (Joseph & Amber's Children). Jeffrey & Kim do not have children. Jordan remains single and is pursuing a Forensic Science degree at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
