Prayer is not just an activity, a ritual, or an obligation.
It is communion and communication that touches the heart of God.
Prayer is communication between individual people and God, the supreme being. It is not a monologue, one-way conversation where we do all the talking and God only listens. Prayer is a dialogue between an individual and God. In prayer we talk to God and also listen to what God is saying to us. Jesus is a prime example of an individual communicating with the Divine. He never neglected to make time to pray to His Father, God. In fact, he often spent all night in prayer. Scriptures tell us that "he often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed."(Lk 5:16) Jesus gave us an example of the manner in which we should pray through providing for us a model prayer, known as "The Lord's Prayer."
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
Prayer is sometimes in the form of the prayer above or it can be a spontaneous form of pouring out the things in a person's heart to God. We have the confidence that God hears and answers our prayers.
As we appropriate the discipline of prayer in our personal lives, we invite you to join with us in the unity of corporate prayer for the healing of Greater Cornerstone's "First Lady" Jeanetta Jones.

First let me say that I am not a memeber of your church but my daughter's counselor has referred me to you. My Fiance just lost his job for the second time in five months. Before we have been able to use credit cards etc... to get us by. This time we have nothing to fall back on. I work full time and it is not even enough to pay all the bills each month. There will be no Thanksgiving or Christmas for my Girls not because of this, I am behind on all my payments and don't even know how I will get to work. I just ask that we receive prayer for God's mercy and that he help lead my fiance to a job that will help support this family. Thank you so much. |

We give you thanks for giving your servant and our First Lady, Jeanetta,both relief from her discomforts and hope of health renewed. Continue in her, we pray, the good work you have begun; that she, daily increasing in bodily strength and health, rejoices in your goodness. Fill her heart with faith in your love, with calm expectancy in your healing power,sustain her by your grace, that her strength, courage and faith will not fail. May God the Father bless her, God the Son heal her, God the Holy Spirit give her strength and May the Holy Trinity Guard her heart. Amen |

Please Pray my soul mate has already been prepared for me and I have already been prepared for my soul mate.Pray GOD unites me and my soul mate together real soon by any means necessary .Never been on a date or ever had a girlfriend and been Praying and hoping for this for at least 18 years. i will be 40 years old on March 31...Prov 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick, but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life..Thanks for Praying. |
